Treysta ceramic cartridge is a smart one-cartridge-fits-all design cartridge that accommodates all different available valve bodies within the Gerber Treysta valve system.
Gerber Tub and Shower and Shower Only trim kits are compatible with the new Treysta valves. A transition is planned to work through this change.
We recommend customers to purchase Treysta valves and trims with item numbers ending with a suffix TC together or old valves with trims with item numbers ending with a suffix T together for faster installation and simplicity but there are fixes to allow for backwards compatibility if needed and as shown as follows:
-
Old Tub and Shower Trim - does not come with a cartridge and item number ending with a T (Gerber item numbers)
-
New Gerber Tub and Shower Trim - comes with a new Treysta cartridge and item number ending with a suffix TC
- To make your existing Gerber or old Danze by Gerber trim compatible with the new Treysta valve, you must install with the new Treysta ceramic disc cartridge GA510015 (sold separately from the valve body) and a bonnet nut A016257-Z in matching finish to the trim (also sold separately from the valve body).
- To make your new Gerber trim compatible with an older valve, you must use the cartridge shipped with the valve assembly and do not use the new Treysta cartridge (shipped with the new Gerber trims). DO NOT install the new Treysta cartridge with an old rough-in valve body. The new Treysta cartridge IS NOT compatible with the old rough-in valve.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does my existing Gerber trim work on the Gerber Treysta valve?
Yes, but requires the additional purchase of the Treysta Ceramic Disc Cartridge (GA510015) and finish-matched retainer nut (Chrome GA016257, Brushed Bronze GA016257BB, Brushed Nickel GA016257BN, Satin Black GA016257BS).
Does my existing Gerber vale work with the new "TC" trim from Gerber?
In most cases, yes but there are several exceptions and points to consider.
Brushed Nickel (BN Suffix) |
A041714NP |
Satin Black (BS Suffix) |
A041714BS |
Vaughn, Avian, and Lemora collections use a unique installation method and therefore are not compatible with older model valves.
How can I identify if my valve/cartridge is a Treysta?
The Treysta Ceramic Disc Cartridge has a gray cap so is quickly visually differentiated from other previous cartridges and valves available in Gerber.
