Treysta ceramic cartridge is a smart one-cartridge-fits-all design cartridge that accommodates all different available valve bodies within the Gerber Treysta valve system.
To remove and replace the Treysta ceramic cartridge, follow these below steps:
INSTRUCTIONS
- Close the water supply (for models with servicing stops, turn stops to CLOSE position) and remove the plaster guard from the valve body.
- Remove the bonnet nut and sleeve from the valve body.
- Pull out the old Treysta cartridge from the valve body
- Replace with a new Treysta cartridge back into the valve body and ensure 2 pins at the bottom end of the cartridge align into guiding holes on the valve body.
NOTE: For valve bodies with vertical inlets configuration, ensure the UP wording mark on the cartridge is ALWAYS pointing upward. For valve bodies with horizontal inlets configuration, ensure the UP wording mark on both cartridge and valve body is ALWAYS pointing upward.
Be sure the O-rings on the cartridge are in place before installing the cartridge back to the valve body.
-
Place the sleeve and bonnet nut back onto the valve body.
Cartridge provides ASSE 1016 compliance down to 1.3 gpm. Maximum flow rate of 7.3 gpm at 80 psi.
The new Treysta ceramic disc cartridge is included with compatible Danze by Gerber and Gerber shower trims to avoid the possibility of damage prior to trim installation. Check valves integrated into the cartridge to reduce the complexity of stops.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How is the plaster guard removed?
Our new patented no-tool plaster guard can be easily removed with one hand. Simply pinch the two clips inward to release the plaster guard from the retention ring and pull forward.
What if my retention ring was not rotated correctly at rough-in, specifically for rough-ins featuring vertical inlets (GS525/GS525S/GS527/GS527S)?
- If yes, remove the plaster guard, rotate the retention ring, and then replace the plaster guard. All arrows should always be pointing up.
- If not, please contact us for a possible solution.
