How to remove Sirius handle?

For Lavatory and Kitchen Faucets:

  1. Pull out the rubber button (on the bottom of part #2).
  2. Use a hex wrench (part #1) to unscrew counter-clockwise to loosen the set screw.
The hex wrench is 2.5 mm or 1/8".
  3. Pull out the main handle (part #2). If still hard to be pulled, loosen the set screw again.

For the Diverter handle on the escutcheon plate:

  1. The diverter handle is secured to the escutcheon plate with a C-clip. To remove it, you will need to remove the volume control handle, the handle trim ring and the escutcheon plate from the shower valve first.
  2. Once removed, use two small, flat-bladed screwdrivers to aid in the removal of the C-clip.
  3. On the back of the escutcheon, use one screwdriver blade at one end of the C-clip to keep it from turning and use the other screwdriver blade to push the C-clip end down and out of the groove.
  4. With the C-clip removed, be careful to retain the rubber O-ring and metal washer which were under the C-clip.
  5. Remove the diverter handle and retain the small black plastic washer which is found on the handle.

For 1/2" Diverter Valve or 3/4" Volume Control Valve:

  3. Remove the escutcheon plate (part #3) to reach the rough-in valve.

For 3/4" Thermostatic Valve Trim:

Follow the below steps to remove the remaining handle trim kits to reach the cartridge and the valve.
  1. Remove the limit stop (part #3).
  2. Unscrew the handle trim ring (part #4) counter-clockwise.
  3. Pull out the escutcheon plate to reach the cartridge and the thermostatic valve.

NOTE: When reinstalling the limit stop and the handle assembly, align the gun sight on the limit stop with the notch on the valve cartridge stem. When recalibrating the output temperature for the high-temperature over-ride position, rotate the cartridge stem counter-clockwise until the desired temperature is reached. For a lower output temperature over-ride position, rotate the cartridge stem clockwise until the desired temperature is reached.

When reinstalling the handle assembly, align the over-ride button in line with the gun sight on the limit stop.
